SunTimes for Windows - Keep Track of the Sun
SunTimes generates sunrise and sunset tables for any year (BC or AD) and for any location (latitude and longitude) on Earth. Get monthly reference tables as output to the screen or to a printer or to ASCII text files. Input latitude and longitude is saved from the last use of the program.
There is a built-in database of thousands of cities worldwide. Just click on the city you want.
For any day, get a color graphical display of the position of the sun shown across the local sky (which can be saved to a graphics file). The sun is plotted at rise & set, and for every half hour between. You can add the features of the local horizon like mountains, buildings, etc. by specifying the altitude and azimuth points. Handy for planning photos or sun-related events.
Calculates times of twilight (for civil, nautical or astronomical twilight) and the maximum altitude of the Sun, time of maximum altitude (local noon time) and hours of sunshine for each day. Besides rise and set times, get the horizon location, or azimuth, for where the sun rises and sets. Daylight savings is automatically included or can be over-ridden. The effects of refraction are included for precise sunrise/sunset times.
For high latitude locations, program indicates if the sun never rises or sets (midnight Sun effect). Accurate and easy to use. Includes a handy calendar.
